How Penile Injections Work

This procedure works by using your own platelet-rich plasma to stimulate stem cells and growth factors to rejuvenate the penis and restore function. Platelet-rich plasma extraction is completed in our phlebotomy lab and takes less than 30 minutes.

The patient's blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge for 15 minutes to separate out the platelets. Then the platelet-rich plasma is injected into target areas. This plasma is rich in platelets, stem cells, and growth factors and is very useful for tissue regeneration and healing. The injections are followed by coronal injections designed to enlarge the girth of the head of the penis.

Step 1 - Penile Block

A numbing block is applied to eliminate discomfort during the procedure.

Step 2 - Fat Pad Injection

We use a proprietary solution that is injected into the fat pad at the base of the penis. This solution dissolves fat throughout the area, exposing more length to the penis.

Step 3 - Platelet Penile Injections

Blood is drawn from the patient and spun to separate the stem cells and growth factors. After harvesting both, the doctor will inject them into specific locations throughout the shaft of the penis. This rejuvenates the penis and enhances overall girth.

Step 4 - Corona Enhancement

A proprietary cosmetic filler is injected in the corona of the penis (the band) and enlarges the girth of the head of the penis.

Hormone Analysis is Included

A blood test will be ordered one week prior to this procedure which includes a panel of tests to provide a baseline overview of sex hormones, thyroid gland, adrenal function, metabolic function, and overall health.

The blood test can be done in the comfort of our clinic or at a national laboratory near your home. Test results typically take 5 days to become available. How long does the procedure take?

The initial PRP Penile Enhancement procedure takes about 90 minutes. Follow-up procedures can be completed in as little as 45 minutes.

How long do the effects last?

Based on the patient’s age, lifestyle, habits, and metabolism, the procedure can last between 2 to 3 years.

Does the procedure hurt?

No. There is no incision and only a penile numbing block is used. This is a non-invasive and painless procedure.

How are Platelet Penile Injections different than the penile pump?

It is like comparing apples and oranges. A penis pump applies negative pressure to the penis causing tissue swelling. Also, with the pump, patients are typically required to use the “pump” at least twice a day, 20 minutes a day for about 6 weeks. Results vary in sensation and are short-term. With Platelet Penile injections, the results are long-lasting and the outcome is a truly harder and larger penis.
