What is telemedicine?
Women's Health Center Defy Medical 03

Telemedicine, also called telehealth or e-health, is the practice of providing virtual healthcare. Telemedicine limits the need for face-to-face contact while allowing patients to consult with experienced healthcare practitioners. Telemedicine can help you avoid going into crowded waiting rooms filled with potentially sick people.

Telemedicine is typically used for Primary Care needs – health concerns that can be virtually diagnosed and treated with common prescriptions, when appropriate. Types of common conditions include sinus infections, cold and flu, skin conditions, allergies, and others.

If you are experiencing symptoms of a serious disease, including COVID-19, we encourage you to contact your regular or emergency healthcare provider.
